I mentioned in my Lazer Xtreme post that we had dinner in P.F. Chang’s. P.F. Chang is a very popular American Chinese Restaurant chain in the US. It has about 200 restaurants across the globe and finally, it has reached the Philippine shore. P.F. Chang in Alabang Town Center is actually their very first branch in the whole of Asia. Thanks to Global Restaurant Concept Inc. for bringing P.F. Chang’s here.

P.F. Chang’s interior is very sophisticated and modern-minimalistic (except for the very big Terra Cotta warrior statue and horse in front). The place has high ceilings, dim lights (at night but I heard the place is bright during the day), murals, and other Chinese accents here and there.

Of course, the food….

P.F. Chang's flagship appetizer---Chicken lettuce wrap

lettuce wraps or lettuce cups?

sauces--I love the hoisin sauce and chili oil and Kikkoman soy sauce!

Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wrap
Description: Wok-seared minced chicken, mushrooms, green onions, and water chestnuts served over crispy rice sticks and served with cool, crisp lettuce cups
Price:  PHP 285
Serving: good for sharing (2-4 people)

Chicken lettuce wrap is P.F. Chang’s signature appetizer. This is actually the dish that convinced me to eat there. I saw a food TV show that featured P.F. Chang’s and all they could talk about was how good this appetizer is. So, I just had to try it for myself—and indeed, it is THAT GOOD! The chicken is bursting with flavor and the lettuce cups complements with a refreshing taste. You can put sauce according to your liking; I like mine with a lot of chili and hoisin sauce. If you plan to eat at P.F. Chang’s, never forget to try this! 😉

I heard the Dynamite Shrimp appetizer is also a winner. Unfortunate for me, I’m allergic to seafood. 🙁

Chang's spicy chicken

Chang’s Spicy Chicken
Description: Tender, diced chicken breast lightly dusted and stir-fried with a tangy sauce of sweet and spice
Price:  PHP 320
Serving: good for sharing (2-4 people)

I’m not exaggerating when I say that this chicken is cooked to perfection; it has the right moisture and tenderness to it. I seldom taste a chicken that’s not dried or overcooked. And the sauce has the right balance of tangy, sweet and spicy. We just kept on munching them! (but what’s new to that? haha!)

Chang's Fried Rice

Chang’s Fried Rice
Description: Wok-fried rice blended with egg, soy, carrots, bean sprouts and sliced scallions. Choice of beef, pork, chicken or shrimp
Price:  PHP 225
Serving: good for sharing (2-4 people)

The fried rice is already good in itself! It’s so tasty and filling! The serving is really good for 3-4 people but of course, it only needs two hungry people in our world to finish it. hehe

Tamarind and Jasmine iced tea

Tamarind and Jasmine Iced Tea
Description: iced tea spiked with tamarind and jasmine flavor
Price:  PHP 95 bottomless
Serving: good for 1

These drinks are super cute (sorry for the lack of proper adjective). The flavor of tamarind is so refreshing while the jasmine is so relaxing.

P.F. Chang also has a vegetarian and gluten-free menu; so everyone can enjoy!

Overall, the food and the whole experience is great! some might find the entrees too expensive but it’s totally worth it! We hope they also have set meals for 2 like in other countries. We are definitely going back for more.

A piece of advise, most of their servings are for 3-4 people so it’s advisable to go in large groups so you can enjoy more food. Again, we are looking for people who would want to accompany us on our next food trips. 😉
