Time for another burger post!

Malcolm’s Burger in Pearl Drive Ortigas is just a few blocks away from office and dorm. I’ve been seeing it for sometime so I decided to give it a go.

Malcolm’s Burger is actually made from Kitayama Wagyu Beef. In layman’s term, Kitayama Wagyu beef is a kind of beef bred from Japanese and Australian cattles. And the cool thing about it is that its locally sourced! It’s great to know we are producing quality meat products here in the Philippines.

Based on my research, Malcolm’s also has a full restaurant in Salcedo, Makati that serves steaks and the likes.

Malcolm’s Classic
Description: Kitayama beef burger with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onion
Price:  PHP 120
Serving: good for 1

OK, so…the burger right? Hmmm.. Honestly, it’s not so bad but it’s not as GREAT as I was expecting it to be. I have tasted a lot of good burgers in that price range and I can say Malcolm’s Classic can be on the same rank. I was just hoping expecting it would standout in terms of taste.  I think I have to manage my expectations more. Don’t get me wrong here, it’s good and it’s worth the try given the price range. I just hoped it could have been juicier; mine was served a bit dry. I hope this is an isolated case.

But what’s fun with Malcolm’s is their MONDAY MADNESS. Every Monday, you can get Malcomlm’s classic burger for only Php 99. Great deal, right?! Swak for those on budget LIKE ME. hehehe

I hope I can try Malcolm’s Kitayama steaks in Makati soon. Do you wanna join me? 🙂
