This post will be a quick one since this restaurant offers nothing else but straightforward BULALO. In Calamba City in Laguna (near Pansol, the resort capital of the Philippines), there is this famous bulalo house called Aviles Restaurant.
There’s nothing else to order so we got an order of bulalo. When they say bulalo, it’s BUUULLLAAAALLLOOO. The meat is sooo huge it’s good for a family of 4-5. But of course, there’s only two of us so we had to finish it all.

Description: beef in some delicious broth (I think we all know bulalo..hehe)
Price: PHP 450
Serving: good for sharing (as in SHAAAARRRINGG)

The beef is really good; it’s tender and meaty (duh?!). The broth is malinamnam. Sorry, I’m not really sure how to say it in English… umami flavor?? haha
But the price, it killed me..we were shocked with the bill..ahaha..We actually thought it would be cheaper than our usual dinner out but it turned otherwise. Nonetheless, their bulalo is superb! I guess if you are with friends, then it would be cheaper.
How to get there? Just ask anyone in Calamba how to get there..it’s really famous and it’s just on the side of the road before entering the expressway going to Manila.
